OverviewHavers Design is based in Courtenay, British Columbia and has been creating professional design solutions since 1985. A lot has changed since then, particularly the advent of computer generated design. What hasn't changed is our commitment to work closely with our clients, listen carefully to their needs and develop the best creative solutions we can on their behalf. We are a team of graphic artists, web programmers, photographers and writers who collaborate from project to project as required. We've been fortunate in developing long term relationships with the majority of our clients, growing and evolving with them along the way. I think we've all enjoyed the ride and look forward to the opportunities, challenges and surprises the future holds in store. The creative process is key to the success of the marketing objectives we are hired to fulfill. This is achieved in a three-step process. Communicate ~ Conceive ~ Create COMMUNICATE ~ It's critical for us to listen carefully at initial briefings with our clients to fully understand the scope of the project we are hired for. We need to understand what the product or service is, it's competitive advantages and potential disadvantages. We also need to know where we fit in the marketing mix and what our responsibilities are. And of course, what we create needs to fit within a projected budget, to be determined in the early stages. From here we can move to the design stage. CONCEIVE ~ This is the critical "Big Idea" Phase, taking time to do some research and see what's out there to determine the best design direction (or directions) to take that will generate the best possible design solution. "It's relatively easy to make a Big Idea look good, it takes a lot of work to make a Bad Idea look good." CREATE ~ Once pointed in the right direction we generate design solutions to achieve the goals outlined. This process results in exciting visual solutions that can then be translated to all forms of marketing such as stationary, signage, product literature, the web and more.
